Picture this: while most people imagine investing as a glamorous whirlwind of wealth and success, the reality often resembles a slow and steady climb, one dollar at a time. Join us as we uncover the truth behind why investing isn’t as flashy as it seems.

1. The Tortoise and the Hare Approach:
Remember the classic tale of the tortoise and the hare? Well, investing is a lot like that slow and steady tortoise. While flashy investment schemes might promise quick riches like the hare, it’s the patient and consistent approach that wins the race. Just like the tortoise, successful investors stick to their plan, steadily moving forward while others sprint ahead and burn out.
Don’t get fooled by get rich quick schemes (Like throwing all your money in DogeCoin, Litecoin, Email marketing Scams or otherwise). If it sounds like someone is giving you a quick path to wealth, it’s probably a scam. Unless you’re building a Business, where you control the majority stake and can make high value decisions, getting wealthy takes TIME. 2. Embracing the Journey:
Investing isn’t just about the destination; it’s about enjoying the journey. Think of it as a road trip with scenic stops along the way. Sure, there might be some bumps and detours, but each step forward brings you closer to your financial goals. Embrace the ups and downs, celebrate small victories, and keep your eyes on the horizon.
Especially in the Military and in retirement – Enjoy getting a regular paycheck. Enjoy the process of setting up a TSP account and getting that sweet DOD match in the Blended Retirement Program. It’ll pay dividends (Literally).
3. Just because Investing isn’t sexy, doesn’t mean it’s not worth it.
Imagine your investments as seeds planted in a garden. At first, they may seem small and insignificant, but with time, care, and patience, they grow into mighty trees bearing fruit.
Every dollar invested is like watering those seeds, nurturing them to maturity. And just like a well-tended garden, your investment portfolio will flourish over time, providing abundance for years to come.
What will be sexy, is having a secured future. Knowing that you won’t have to work in your 50’s and 60’s, unless that’s your thing. For me, I plan on retiring by 39 years of age. 9 years to go. And I am proud to say that and share that with you all!
In a world that’s constantly rushing and seeking instant gratification, investing teaches us the power of patience. Going for a walk, enjoying our time with our lived ones. Trusting in ourselves and in our actions. So, channel your inner tortoise, take it one step at a time, and watch as your investments grow into something truly remarkable. Remember, slow and steady wins the race—and in investing, patience truly pays off in the most rewarding ways possible.
