The Balancing Act of Side Hustles

Having a side hustle is a blessing and a curse. In some ways, it’s amazing. Building multiple businesses, opening up to share what we’re doing in the world. In other ways, it can be very difficult to balance a personal life or one’s relationships against the pursuit of growth.

Regardless, I think starting a business is a great goal for people to undertake. Being self employed can provide so much more than an employer ever could. I set the times that I work, I also dictate what I will be working on any given day. The freedoms are limited only by my creativity. Speaking of creativity:

I run a Etsy store, where I sell stickers and traditional artworks worldwide. I started this because I’ve been drawing since I was 13 (and at the time of writing I’m 31 years old); I figured I might as well try to share my art and make a little profit while I’m at it. If you have a free moment and would like to go support the more creative side of my life, visit michaeljuliendesigns.etsy.com.

There’s value in everything we do – so keep learning, and keep creating!
